Content Outline Mind Map Template

The Content Outline mind map template structures an article or essay from hook to conclusion: topic in the center, outline and research on either side, then body points and a closing. It turns a blank page into a written draft faster than typing an outline.

FAQ

How do I outline an article with a mind map?

Put your article topic in the center. Build the Outline branch with sections and body points, and a Research branch with facts and sources. When the map is complete, write each branch in order — the draft structure already exists.

Is a mind map outline better than a linear outline?

For planning, yes. A mind map shows how sections relate and connect at a glance, and rearranging ideas is drag-and-drop instead of cut-and-paste. Many writers sketch the map first, then write linearly from it.

Can I export the outline map to text?

Export the completed map as SVG or PNG for reference, or keep it open beside your editor while writing. If you work in Markdown, you can build the same structure with the markdown import feature.
